Sometimes displaying all Cron users jobs can be a tedious work, and more if we need to know for several servers.

Let’s see how to get the information using a Python script.

This script gets by default the crons configured at /var/spool/cron and display them, avoiding the comments (lines starting by #)  and blank lines.

Let’s see the script in action.

If we need to know the crontab for several servers, we can use  script from CollectNode, in order to execute the script at every server involved. Let’s see an example.

crontab 02

Now it is very easy to check all servers and verify all of them are configured as they should be. 🙂
